报告摘要:The availability of extensive lifespan brain MRI datasets, spanning subjects from 20 gestational weeks to 100 years, presents a unique opportunity to precisely chart the trajectory of brain changes throughout the lifespan. However, a major barrier is the critical lack of lifespan computational pipelines for accurate and consistent processing and analysis of challenging lifespan brain MRIs. This talk will introduce a comprehensive set of advanced lifespan-dedicated analysis tools for lifespan brain MRIs. The topics will cover harmonization, skull stripping, tissue segmentation, motion correction, and super resolution.

报告人简介:Dr. Wang is a Tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology and the Biomedical Research Imaging Center (BRIC) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at UNC-Chapel Hill. He leads the Developing Brain Computing Lab, where his research centers on creating cutting-edge computational methods and tools for processing and analyzing medical imaging data. As corresponding author, his work has been published in Nature Protocols, Nature Communications, and Nature Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Wang’s work has garnered 14,000+ citations and an h-index of 57 on Google Scholar. His tools, validated on 50,000+ lifespan scans from 200+ institutions, have directly contributed to 50+ high-impact journal publications, including Brain, Neuron, Nature Methods, Nature Communications, and PNAS. As an independent PI, he has been awarded a K01 Career Development Award and two R01 Awards from the NIH. He has also served as a grant reviewer for multiple NIH BRAIN Initiative study sections. He has been included among the world's top 2% scientists in both Career-long impact and Single-year impact since 2021.
