报告摘要: Dr. Steve Langdon will firstly briefly introduce active areas of research in mathematics at the University of Reading and then describe recent progress on the development of numerical methods for the solution of some wave scattering problems, with applications to areas such as radiative transfer models.
Dr. Tobias Kuna will then give a short presentation of the rigorous error analysis of Data assimilation method for 2D-Navier-Stokes with unbounded random error in the observation. Navier-Stokes equations are unstable as dynamical systems. Data assimilation is a method to use observation of the real system to stabilise the dynamical system and to improve the prediction.
