A member of the Centre for Computational Intelligence at De Montfort University and a member of the Institute for Grey Systems Studies at the NUAA.  Main research interests are Neural Networks, Grey Systems Theory, Knowledge Representation, Database and Geographical Information Systems, especially in the integration of Artificial Intelligence with Database and Geographical Information Systems.  Also interested in the application of computing techniques to real world problems, such as transportation, geotechnical and environmental engineering.
